Simpson Strong-Tie is the leading manufacturer of mechanical connectors for timber construction. They also manufacture pre-fabricated lateral systems (moment frames and shear walls). Simpson Strong-Tie has generously offered to provide transportation for our students to visit their manufacturing facility in Stockton to learn more about their products and how they are made. The trip will be on November 17, 2017. We will leave Fresno State promptly at 8am and will return to campus at 4pm. While at the Simpson Strong-Tie facility, we will see their research lab, participate in a hands-on hardware installation activity, and tour their manufacturing facility. Lunch is provided by Simpson Strong-Tie.
