Opportunities with AISC

The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) provides numerous opportunities of interest to structural engineering students.  I encourage you to consider these excellent resources:

1. AISC Education Foundation Scholarships:  Awards in the amount of $2,000 - $5,000 are awarded to undergraduate juniors, seniors, and master's level graduate students in Civil Engineering and other related majors.  Check out the AISC website for more details.  https://www.aisc.org/education/university-programs/aisc-scholarships/#9923
2. NASCC: The Steel Conference, organized by AISC, is the premier conference for to structural steel construction.  Registration for this outstanding conference is FREE to students.  This year's conference will be held in San Antonio March 22-24, 2017 in San Antonio.  For more information, view: https://www.aisc.org/nascc/
3. Summer Internship:  AISC recently posted an opening for a summer internship at their headquarters in Chicago.  The deadline was February 15, 2017, but you may still be able to submit your application.  Or, check back next January for a potential Summer 2018 internship.  More info:  https://www.aisc.org/education/university-programs/internship-aisc-engineering-intern/
